I am Ambassador Elite with Marriott. My family and I have stayed at the Westin at least 4 times prior. Never the week after Christmas. The hotel was busy but we typically had very little issues. Except for the following. Hotel management decided it was a great idea to put a member with their top status next to a room with dogs that barked a minimum of 8-10 hours a day everyday. We called and called and called and nothing was done. I asked to be moved but the hotel was full. Their response was to do nothing. Not remove the people responsible but to make everyone around them miserable. In addition to this review, I have contacted Marriott. They had no response. Post pandemic, service is dead. Status means you earn points faster. That's it. No upgrades, no service, just points.

This was the finest hospitality experience I've ever had at a Marriott-branded hotel. The attention to detail was impeccable, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us at every turn. The property was spotless, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. A special shoutout to Solange from the concierge team for her outstanding assistance in planning our week's activities. Other standout team members include Holly, Seth, Travis, Rex K (shuttle), Jake/Jack (Ski Valet), Emma, and the rest of the shuttle staff. There are others who contributed to our wonderful experience but I can't recall their names. The service provided by the staff is the main reason we'll be returning for our next ski trip in February.||Suggestion: Consider adding another hot tub and an additional shuttle.

The location was super accessible to the public bus, the gondola to the mountain, etc. The room was ready at 4 but not earlier like we requested at reservation. But, they did give us a 1 hour extension on our check out. We were able to get our skis and free cookies while we waited for them to finish cleaning our room. The room was clean and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped just enough for our very basic needs.
There were dogs everywhere barking at each other in the hotel. Thankfully, they don't allow pets in the Riverfront Resort...although we saw two small dogs there.
The shuttle was an unexpected surprise and made it easy to get to and from Beaver Creek.
To get 5 stars...
1) We encountered issues with our key not allowing us into the main entrance door of the resort. The new clerk didn't know how to set up the resort keys.
2) The signage needs to be improved. It wasn't clear where to check in for the resort. It also wasn't clear what the resort amenities were (like the ski valet, etc). In the ski valet, they also needed signs to indicate how to request your equipment. We waited in the wrong line for several minutes before we figured it out.
3) The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor.
4) The bed was very firm and high in the middle...a bit uncomfortable for me. I'm not sure if all the beds are the same throughout the property.

All in all, we would return to this quiet property.

The hotel was wonderful. The restaurant & bar
had amazing cocktails! The free hot chocolate was a wonderful perk. Ski check right next
to the gondola can't be beat. The pool & infinity hot tubs had amazing views. The staff was very friendly and quick to clean the rooms. However, the massage I got at the spa was not one I'd repeat, and definitely not worth the cost.

We just finished a three night stay here. Our stay started a bit rocky as we were extremely disappointed with our room. We booked a studio with fireplace and balcony and the room was bland, with no decor, and didn’t look anything like the online photos. That all said, we really did enjoy our stay here. The vibe of the hotel was great. What we loved: the food was excellent, both at the bar and the restaurant; we enjoyed the nightly bands; we loved seeing all the well behaved dogs and their families enjoying themselves; we appreciated the local shuttle driver (free with tip) who took us up to Beaver Creek; we enjoyed the spa, pool area, and hot tubs, all very clean and inviting. Overall, we had an awesome stay and the room was just a room. On the positive side the room was very quiet, despite the hotel being sold out. The bed was soft and comfy. Please get rid of the rain shower shower heads. They are very awkward for women who don’t wash their hair every day. Thank you for a great stay. We hope to come back again soon.

The service at this hotel is outstanding. We had a few issues with our room the first night and management and staff went above and beyond to make things right. Every member of the staff we encountered, from the front desk, to bell hop, valet, restaurant and director of vibe 🙂 were outstanding. Our family loved the pool and hot tubs, hot chocolate and cookies after skiing, and finding the elf on the shelf. We will be back!

I stayed at the Westin for one week with my family to go skiing. Although the hotel was fairly good, the service could not be worse. Since the beginning to the end nothing since to work out but the worse part is that the managers believe they are always right. ||We started with a concierge that was unable to do a restaurant reservation and the job had to be handed to the head of valet. I believe he (Scott) was the only person who really tried to help. ||The shuttle service does not work. They prefer to sell you their private service transportation. As an example, we went to vail in the shuttle and we were the only guests in the shuttle. The shuttle left us at the transportation center where we had to get an Uber to get to blocks further because the driver said he was not allowed to take us there. Also, getting from the village to the hotel in peak hours is almost impossible and between 3:45 pm and 5 pm there no shuttles. ||Retuning to the room at 4 pm and not having the room made is not what you want after a whole day of ski. Many calls to be able to get the people to clean the room. ||After checkout I got a voice message that my card was not working. When I checked my bank app I had been charged 3 times. The manager says it is a bank problem. They have nothing to do with it!!!!||I can keep on but I think you get the idea. I am a Bombay Ambassador elite member and have been in many hotels but nothing like this.
