I had an issue with another retailer trying to warranty exchange a set of Channel Lock wire crimpers. I know this hardware store has been here decades, but this was my first time checking it out. The two employees were pleasant to deal with and had no issues helping me exchange the crimpers. I will definitely keep them in mind when in the area! -Derek M.

This place has it all. I first went for sprinkler parts the big box stores didn't carry. I came back for tool rentals. My most recent stop was for lump coal and seasoning for my smoker. Add to that great customer service this place is a find!

I picked up a 5x8 trailer recently for a trip and had a great experience. The staff helped me pick a hitch ball and mount. The process was quick and easy. The gal at the front desk was an expert and knew what she was doing. If Uhal sends you to pick up your trailer here, you will be in good hands.

The location is fairly nice with stocked inventory. The people upstairs are friendly with great customer service. The reason for 2 stars is because there was a cat inside near the register and I'm allergic, and when going downstairs, the guys at the sprinkler counter kept avoiding eye contact or saying anything like they did not want to help me. No one greeted or offered help. When I finally spoke to the lady with short hair at the Stihl counter, she was very rude and just had a bad attitude like she didn't want to help me.

Took in weed wacker for repairs. $45 dollar deposit with initial quote of 3-weeks for completion. 4-weeks go by and I call in for an update. The representative said that it would take another 2-weeks to complete. Called in 2-weeks later to check in and the representative mentioned that they had to order parts and should be completed by the end of the week. Called in again to see if it was ready for pick up and they said it would take another 2-weeks. After a week, went into the store for an in-person update and the representative said that they ordered parts but don’t know when they will be coming in. How does a company quote 3-weeks and it take 2-months? Terrible service! Not to mention that they don’t even know when parts will be in? Is there not a tracking number? Was the order even placed? A 3-week quoted project taking 2-3 months? If you’re planning on servicing your equipment at Big Tool Box (An Ace Hardware Partner), think again! I highly suggest going through any other outfit. The Big Tool Box will just jerk you around.
