Embarcadero YMCA - San Francisco, California

Recently, I found myself stranded in San Francisco, and the Embarcadero YMCA has been a lifesaver. The staff, especially manager Zach, were incredible—he provided me a lock when I was having a really rough day. Karina and Viviana helped me get a discounted rate due to employment loss and made joining simple even though I'm from Canada.

The facilities are outstanding, with beautiful views, top-notch equipment, and included towel service. Although the trial period is only one day, it's enough to see the value here. I highly recommend supporting this YMCA; they rely on memberships and donations and truly make a difference. Help however you can—they deserve the support. Thank you guys!

Location great, staff wonderful, facility clean, views are fantastic but be careful to mind your things in the locker-room! Three times I've used this facility two times I've had things stolen in the locker room, not a great track record so be careful and mind your belongs at this facility! This concludes your Embarcadero YMCA PSA.

I love this location. When you’re on the treadmill - you can see the bay bridge and the water. It’s the most scenic view while exercising and I find it very therapeutic. I look forward to going every time I get a chance to go.

I really love this gym. The location is awesome, I love that it has a view of the water from the windows. The steam room is great, I prefer it to a dry sauna and the other gym I used to go to only had a dry. The steam room seems to help ease pain better.

The staff are very cool, I like them a lot. The gym itself is big, and has the best selection of machines and weights of all the YMCAS I’ve tried in the area (Presidio, Chinatown, and Marin).

The pool is fun to swim in and not too cold. The hot tub is nice but I don’t use it often.

Overall a great place to workout!

First, you can't beat the view! If you're on one of the cardio machines, you're in for soaking in some beauty while you're soaking up a sweat, with pristine views of the Embarcadero, the Bay Bridge and the Bay. It always gives me energy; especially at sunset! Next I'll have to comment on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that work there. I am always blown away at how attentive and kind they are. This facility is top notch! Clean, friendly (staff and members), many amenities (I love the sauna and steam room, and the pool too!) and a variety of classes and well-maintained equipment.

Joined recently. THE BEST GYM I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! HANDS DOWN! The pier is up the street, the staff is great, the gym is clean and the swimming pool is outstanding! I'm so excited that my fiance blessed me to go back swimming!

Best YMCA in San Francisco. The staff is polite,attentive and does their job very well. Classes that are being offered led by professional instructors. The sauna and steam room are kind of weak ( in my opinion they are not hot enough). The pool is great !

Visited this Y from my home branch in NC. Only got to use the pool one morning, but facility was impressive and the staff/ lifeguards were very welcoming and helpful. Will stop by again when back in San Fran!
