My husband and I went here for four days, and I can honestly say of any luxury hotel/resort we have stayed at around the world this was our favorite. Dunton's hospitality is unparalleled. The staff is so thoughtful and attentive - the attention to detail is truly impressive. The common areas (lodge, saloon, hot springs, dining room, etc.) are so well decorated while also being comfortable. The food and drinks are all 5 star. The linens are soft and the beds super comfortable. We did guided fly fishing and massages as activities - and would absolutely recommend.

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The hospitality, service, property, and staff were all amazing, making it the perfect place to rest and relax from the moment we arrived. A pleasant surprise was the community table. Although we were initially hesitant, we met wonderful people and enjoyed great conversation. We're grateful for this getaway and look forward to our next stay.

The property is unmatched, unbelievable views and activities! The guides and bartender were lovely and friendly. The staff was hit or miss- some seemed put out to be bothered with questions or asking for help with tables, food or activities. The experience was OK, but there were a lot of problems with the overall handoffs and people making you feel like everything was seamless. Preordered breakfast for an activity had clearly fallen through the cracks, forms that needed filling out before activities but were never presented to us in the first place, etc. These thing are small, but we travel to Relais & Chateaux properties all over the world and its those little things that make it feel special- they are lacking here. The food was the biggest disappointment, I get that we are out in the middle of nowhere and there are only a few choices for breakfast and everything else is just what they are making, but on several occasions it was just inedible. Looking around the dining hall it was clear it wasn't just us, on those occasions almost everyone had left most of their meal uneaten. For what we paid it was just unacceptable- it's clear a lot of it is made the day before and put on baking sheets in the fridge and served the next day (and left out all over the counter in the kitchen so its not just my assumption). Stale/dried out pasta, sandwich bread and potatoes at breakfast with so much liquid smoke and salt on them no one ate more than a bite. On other occasions it was just not enough food and everyone was trying to find snacks to supplement the tiny portions. Dinner was the stand out - that was the only time there seemed to be an actual chef making the food real time and that was definitely very good.

This place is so incredible and unlike anywhere else we have been. My now husband and I eloped here at Dunton, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff, the food, drinks, amenities were all incredible.

Wasn’t what I had anticipated. Our room had so many dead flies in it. Including in the bed. The bathroom was so tight and small. Just not exactly what you would expect for the price point. Staff wasn’t overly friendly. Location is remote, but wouldn’t say it’s worth the drive. Have been to the Eleven Experience several times which is a similar concept and pricing. It wasn’t even comparable.

The natural beauty of this place speaks for its self, but I’m here to review our stay at Dunton.
For the price point you expect a certain level of service. Other then Wes at check in, the service was just not there or sometimes rude. Our cabin was so small there was no where to sit and ended up hanging out in the lodge for the most part.
The hot springs can serve about 12 in total but the ranch will book up to 50 guests per night. So much for soaking…especially with screaming kids running around.
Dogs: they’re everywhere! Peeing, pooping, jumping.
Massage was average.
Dinner was amazing as expected. Breakfast and lunch were…simple.
In conclusion, it’s a nice spot. But nowhere near a 5 star experience.
